Miranda Kerr - Victoria’s Secret Lingerie Model

The first Australian Victoria’s Secret Angel is Miranda Kerr. She was born on April 20, 1983 in Sydney. She stands five feet and nine inches tall, has blue eyes, and brown hair. Miranda grew up in Gunnedah, New South Wales, which is a small rural town. She grew up with her younger brother Matthew on a farm. She describes her experience on the farm as very grounding. She said there was no pretentiousness at all and no one really cared what you would wear. During her days on the farm, she enjoyed climbing trees. She moved to Brisbane with her whole family in order to experience city life. She finished high school at All Hallows’ School. Miranda suffered a lot of distress when her high school boyfriend died. She overcame the trauma and eventually started her modelling career.

Miranda started her modelling career during her early teens. She wasn’t shooting for lingerie ads back then but she received a lot of heat from the media for simply modelling at such a young age. Even during a winter shoot where she was fully clothed, a lot of conservative people said that this was already a form of child pornography. Miranda Kerr brushed off such accusations and merely said that they were making something out of nothing.

Later on, Miranda did several shoots with beach wear brands like Tigerlily, Roxy, Billabong, and One Teaspoon. This made her more visible in the Australian and Asian markets. When she started getting noticed, she moved to New York. In New York, her fashion modeling career blossomed fully. She modelled for popular brands like Levi’s, Betsey Johnson, Neiman Marcus, Baby Phat, Lisa Ho, Voodoo Dolls, Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, and Blumarine swimwear.

Miranda Kerr became very popular when she became one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels. With her exposure with swimwear, it was no difficult transitioning to the Victoria’s Secret lingerie shoots. She is one of the gifted women here on earth that looks amazing in such lingerie.

Aside from modelling, Miranda Kerr still does other activities like acting and writing. She has done a music video with Kanye West and Pharell Williams in the single Number One. She has also starred in the situational comedy How I Met your Mother alongside fellow Victoria Secret Angels Adriana Lima, Marisa Miller, Heidi Klum, and Selita Ebanks. As far as writing is concerned, she is writing a self help book entitled Treasure Yourself which is aimed at female teens.
